Welcome all Cyber Heads!
This is the official launch of a first-of-its-kind lost media project created by two brothers drunk on ’80s nostalgia.
Here’s the lowdown:
Way back in 1988, an ambitious company called Give Me Head Productions began working out of a Silicon Valley office space over on the B-movie side of town. Headed by CEO and resident yuppy Lawrence Cassidy, his brainchild was to be the greatest and most lucrative cyberpunk TV series of all time. Its name was Cyberia.
Over the course of one summer, the company managed to create a huge jigsaw of set designs, characters, props, technical drawings, retro futuristic concepts, behind the scenes photographs, outtake footage and so much more. And yet because Cassidy was solely concerned with keeping the drug fuelled office party going, precious nothing was ever finished.
After the inevitable collapse, every scrap of material was put into a cardboard box and dumped into a filing cabinet only to be forgotten about like it was all just a hazy cocaine dream.
We were fortunate to discover this neon soaked rubbish heap and we’ve been remastering it ever since so that we can share it with the wider world.
As the promo states so eloquently: Welcome to Cyberia. Just don’t expect a handshake.
