“I’m best pals with the Yakuza. Their favourite pastime is severing the heads off lesser men so don’t piss me off.” –Bronqo
District: Greaser Suburbs
Occupation: Vehicle imports and exports.
Bronqo is a class A gas junkie who trades in very expensive vehicles. He regularly does business with Mr Kwong, a representative of the Yakuza, buying stolen vehicles shipped over from the Land of the Rising Sun. And as far as the greasers know, they’re the only people who have the secret code for Kwong’s Skanna.
Because of his vital link in the import/export chain, Bronqo enjoys the protection of the Yakuza. This makes him virtually invincible and is an asset for the greasers. If some lowlife starts to withhold regular payments then all Bronqo has to do is hit up Mr Kwong on his Skanna and the Yakuza will gladly hunt them down and chop their noses off.
Bronqo is also treasurer of the Puerto Rican greaser gang and spends many evenings playing on a virtual reality Scalextric with his buddies Earl and Barry X while sipping on locust juice.
As the imminent gang war with the Russian mafia starts to bubble up, Bronqo is going to play a vital role in ensuring an alliance with Mr Kwong and the Yakuza. Furthermore, he plans to tell them that if the Russians win, they will be terrible business partners as the word loyalty–much like personal hygeine–doesn’t exist in their vocabulary.
The playable character Bronqo has a thousand pressures, but losing the greasers’ diamond studded alliance with the Yakuza isn’t one of them. If this was to happen then the only thing for it would be to reach out to other gangs and beg for their manpower. The problem with this is that gangs in Cyberia will usually get involved only if they absolutely have to and will then expect something glittery in return. The greasers would need to convince them that, unless they are prepared to take a stand, they will be next.
Preferred Weapon: Gristle Pump.
Favourite vehicle: The Japanese Creature.
