Occupation: Mixed Martial Artist.

Joey has trained extensively in drunken rabbit kung fu with Shaolin holograms. He also has a purple belt in the mystical martial art known as poke jitsu which means he is capable of  knocking people out using only his index finger on secret pressure points. Only one other playable character is trained in this deadly art.

Joey regularly competes in welterweight Death Matches at the Screamer Arena and, with a flawless record, has seen all of his opponents’ brains getting scooped up off the canvas floor. He also occasionally works as a bodyguard for the high flyers partying over at the Pleasure Strip.

He is an acquaintance of nightclub and casino owner Hanz. As it goes, Hanz is experiencing a number of annoyances, but the one gripping his shit the hardest is his dispute with loveable oaf and resident drug dealer Booboo.

Booboo is hiding some metropunk who owes Hanz a lot of candy. If things don’t come good soon, Hanz may well hit the Skanna and ask Joey for assistance. Or perhaps something incredibly serious will erupt and Hanz will beg Joey to get his arse to the Pleasure Strip yesterday (it’s the latter).

But the timing couldn’t be any worse. Joey is on first name terms with the key player Scotch Mike. There’s a full-scale war about to erupt in Megacorp Valley and Joey might end up at the centre of it. Therefore falling out with Hanz is just another problem he’ll need to deal with.

Aside from this impressive curriculum vitae, deep down Joey is a good guy who wants to do what’s right. However, doing what’s right in Cyberia is virtually impossible. It nearly always involves murdering at least one person.
