Slangder #1: What is a Sap?

The Sap is on the right.
The Sap is also on the right.
Right again.

When collating the huge bank of notes and documents we found in the office, we began to notice that there were some unfamiliar words repeated many times. We came to understand that this was supposed to be Cyberia slang.

It appears the Give Me Head team understood a common technique for enhancing immersion. It has been used by epic fantasy writers (think Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings) as well as sci-fi television series (think Klingon in Star Trek). In 1988 it was also used by the qualified linguists at Give Me Head HQ.

However, the team’s version of slang appears more like a joke which, as far as the notes go, wasn’t the intention. Anal-World is the obvious example. The team seemed to have a talent for overlooking all possible misinterpretations.

Adding to the list of blunders is the word “Sap”. In the Cyberian Universe, a Sap is used to distinguish between humans (homo SAPien) and anything imitating humans (basically warbots, sexbots and AI sweethearts).

Enlightened folks tell us that it’s important for us to learn something new every day. If this is all you have learnt today then you need to learn two more things: one for punishment and another one to learn something worthy of your time.
