“I cook the best crystal pizza this side of the tracks.” –Gunther

District: Little Amsterdam

Occupation: Narcotics manufacturer and community leader.

Gunther learned how to cook crystal from his grandpa when he was 15 which is considered a late starter in Cyberia. Normally they are barely out of nappies. However, aged 76, he has now perfected the craft. Given that 99.9% of his district is hooked on crystal (the other .1% is Gunther and his trusted employee Alberto) this is a highly lucrative industry.

Naturally Gunther hates the Cyberpigs as much as they really don’t care about him. The only times they come through his door with battering rams is when they’ve confiscated crystal pizza from one of his clients and it’s not up to par. Gunther gives them a free brick and they go off on their merry way to get trashed and cause some mischief. No harm done.

Despite being a ruthless drug baron, Gunther tries to give back to the community once in a while. He’s appalled at the decay all around him despite being the main cause of it. One example is that he employs local addicts who are also his customers. Delivering large quantities of drugs around Little Amsterdam allows them to pay off debts or earn a little extra candy to spend on more of his drugs. In Gunther’s mind this is charity.

One of his employees, Alberto, managed to kick the chronic crystal habit and became a full-time drug mule for Gunther. He also scopes out new enemy blood and reports back to Gunther on any major developments such as the one we’re about to get into.

Big Trouble in Little Amsterdam

Having only murdered seven people and tortured fifteen in all this time, Gunther has made a peaceful living as a crystal pizza chef. However, things are about to get tricky.

There’s a new chef in town named Toby who has a spring in his step. Gunther has only heard whispers through Alberto that this punk is daring to carry out market research on his turf.

According to Gunther, this liberty is punishable by death without a fair trial. However, as is always the case, Gunther knows he must tread carefully before ensuring his monopoly on crystal pizza remains in tact. Experience has taught him not to go in all guns blazing until he knows the enemy inside out. This eases the process of turning their insides out.

Gunther also doesn’t like what he’s hearing in the neighbouring Greaser Suburbs and Russian Quarter districts. Turf wars are always volatile and could cause some gunk spillage into his territory. But for the time being, he has bigger fish to fry.

There is another slight disruption coming to Gunther which will add an extra layer to his woes. Or maybe, just maybe, it might present an opportunity…
